Predicting Divorce in Marriage (Case-1)

Nowadays, divorce is quite common are we would see the reasons for divorce from a standpoint of Vedic Astrology.

However, have you ever thought that despite having an appreciable “Gun Milan” in between the couples (which is an aggregate score point) out of 36, why is that the couple end up having a divorce ? The answer is that we need to do a proper “Kundali Milan” which comprises of the following parameters for the couple,

(a) Gun Milan

(b) Analysis of the strength of the Navamsha Kundali and the 7th Lord of the groom

( C) Analysis of the strength of the Navamsha Kundali and the 7th Lord of the bride

(d) Educational qualification of the bride and the Groom. It makes no sense if the groom is a PHD holder while the bride is 10th pass or vice-versa.

(e) Longevity analysis of the bride and the groom as per Vedic Astrology. It makes no sense if the bride lives till 40 while the groom survives till 80 or vice-versa.

After point (e) we need to use the Niryana Shool Dasha or Shool Dasha to arrive at a ballpark figure regarding longevity.

After analyzing points (a) till (e) then we can conclude as to whether the “Kundali Milan” is proper or not. Nowadays most of the astrologers unfortunately don’t do a thorough “Kundali Milan” and only end up doing a “Gun Milan” (the aggregate score out of 36) and give a go ahead for marriage.

I will share the horoscope of one of my clients wherein my client had a divorce. The point to remember is that there was no “Kundali Milan” done with this horoscope with the spouse despite the fact that my client had a weak Navamsha Chart (the chart for marriage). I generally use the Surya Chakra or East Indian Chart for my analysis. The following is the Rashi Chakra and the Navamsha Chakra of my client :-

Analyzing the Rashi Chart we see that the 7th Lord Venus is with malefic Mercury (Mercury being the Lord of 3rd and 6th house). Arudha of 7th House is in 8th house to Arudha Lagna which is a bad placement for a good marital life. The Samudaya Ashtakvarga score of 7th house of Rashi Chart is only 17 which indicates a weak marital life.

The root cause for a bad married life can be judged from the Navamsha or the D-9 chart. The 7th Lord is in 6th house. Malefic Rahu is with Upapada Lagna in 8th house in D-9 chart. The lagna lord of D-9 chart i.e. Moon is conjunct with Venus, the Lord of 7th house of D-1 chart and [Venus + Moon] experience strong Paap-kartari Yog being flanked by Saturn and Rahu. I have highlighted effect of Saturn and Rahu with red arrows and [Venus + Moon] with yellow colour in D-9 chart. Samudaya Ashtakvarga score of 7th house of Navamsha Chart is 24 which is lowest among all the other houses in the D-9 chart. Moreover, in the D-9 chart Arudha of 7th House is in the 8th house to Arudha Lagna which is a bad placement for a good marital life.

All the above factors made my client’s horoscope from a marriage perspective to be weak and since no “Kundali Milan” was done with the partner, the marriage eventually resulted in a divorce in less than a year.
